MISK Hair Studio

My name is Mizuki Sakaoka and the origin of MISK comes from the letters of my name. I was born in Nagoya, Japan and became a hairstylist in my home town. After working there for 10 years I met my husband who’s from Seattle and that is how I found my way to this beautiful part of western Washington. Since arriving here in 2016 I had been working at a local salon in the Seattle area before opening my own shop at the start of 2024. Now that I am running my own salon I can solely focus on my clients and provide a variety of services with expertise stemming from my experiences in Japan and America.

MISK hair studio is located in the city of Lynnwood. This is a cozy small salon with only one chair. One stylist will be in charge of everything from consultation to shampoo, haircut, coloring, and perms. I will provide a hairstyle just for you in a relaxed and comfortable personal space.

Important Announcement

Thank you for your continued patronage and support of MISK hair studio as we have reached our 2nd anniversary!

I am also pleased to announce that I am expecting my second child and am due to give birth in late May 2026. I plan to go on maternity leave from early May, so appointments are available until the end of April.

My return to work after maternity leave is yet to be determined, but I am aiming for December 2026. I will update this website with information as soon as it is decided.

In connection with this, I would like to introduce you to the salons of four stylists I previously worked with at a local salon in Seattle. Detailed information about each of the four stylists is provided below, so please take a look. If you would like to schedule chemical services please contact them via email and mention that you are one of my clients as they may not accept new clientele.

Digital Perm -
